Freedome cutting my online Speed in half if not more

Im very disappointed to find out that my online speed is going from over 300MBPS when Freedome is OFF and then barely over 100MBPS when Freedome is ON, even though I am using the recomended local location. I've never heard of a VPN cutting the speed SO much. Im running WIndows 7 and using Firefox, all up to date and fully functional
