Freedome Mac CPU usage problem

Hi

 

I've just installed Freedome on my Mac but I cannot keep it on because according to Activity Monitor Freedome consumes 30-50% of CPU, and my laptop pretty much immediately gets a bit sluggish, starts heating up, and the fan starts blowing on full power. I have the 2012 Macbook Air 13" with OS X 10.11.2 (15C50).

 

Any advice?

    Update:

    I've now updated to OS X 10.11.3 but there's no change.

    The CPU issue only seems to occur when I'm using a fair amount of bandwith, such as streaming video or downloading a large file.
