Run a different antivirus app on a Linux desktop within a home network protected by Sense?

Hi,

My Linux desktop does not seem to support the F-Secure Sense app. However, I can set up Sense for my home network using a different device. Is it possible to use Sense for my home network and run a different antivirus app on my Linux desktop in order to replace the third layer of protection offered by the F-Secure app?

Does this make sense or would it create complications?

Thanks!
