Issue: I have followed the instructions to activate my new F-Secure Internet Security code after renewing my subscription. However, after I have applied the code, when clicking "Next", nothing happens. Resolution: Make sure you are entering your new code, which you have received after the renewal purchase. If you do not yet have a new code, you need to renew your F-Secure Internet Security subscription. If you have the right code, check your network connection. Also check that banking protection isn't on, if you just paid for the renewal of your subscription. Try clicking the "End" button on the banking protection banner if the banking protection doesn't deactivate itself. In a case where none of the above helps, please try reinstalling F-secure Internet Security, and then add your code.  Article no: 000007517

Issue: F-Secure Banking Protection is activating randomly in the browser even when user is not on a banking site. Resolution: 1. Make sure there are no banking sites listed in the "Top Pages" or "Favorites" menu when opening a new tab on a browser. Browsers can cache the favorite and most visited websites in the background and if F-Secure Banking Protection detects a banking URL, it will be activated. Also make sure that there are no banking websites pinned to your browser. Here are instructions to manage the content of the New Tab page in different browsers:  Mozilla Firefox :https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hide-or-display-content-new-tab Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95314?hl=en Internet Explorer: https://answers.microsoft.com/ 2. It  is possible that a site you visit contains ads related to banking sites which can cause the banking protection to trigger. 3. Check if the F-Secure Browsing Protection add-on / extension is installed and activated in browser you are using. Here are instructions how to manage add-ons / extensions in different browsers: Mozilla Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-or-remove-add-ons Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/answer/2664769?hl=en Internet Explorer: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17447/windows-internet-explorer-11-manage-add-ons 4.  Try clearing the history and cookies from your browser.  Article no: 000001898

Issue: Is it possible to set one time limit with F-Secure SAFE family rules, which child can use as he/she wants between different devices? How do Family Rule time limits work? Resolution: At the moment it is not possible to have a shared time limit between two or more devices. (That is, you can't set it up so that you'd have, for example, 1 hour of use per day between your phone and your tablet.) The time rules work currently as follows:  You set up a weekday time limit and a weekend time limit and these are the same for all devices on that child's profile. However, time is tracked separately for each device. That is, if Timothy has an android phone, android tablet, and PC, and they have 1-hour time limit on weekdays, and 2-hour time limit on weekends, they can do the following: On weekdays, they can play 1 hour on their phone, on their tablet, AND on their PC. On weekends, they can play 2 hours on each device, per day. So, on weekdays it's a total of 3 hours of play on their devices (1 hour on each), and on weekend days it's 6 hours of play on their devices (2 hours on each). If you want to limit the total time the child can play between all of their devices, it is recommended to take into account the number of devices they have, and set the time limit accordingly. (So, for example, if the child has 3 devices, and you want to limit them to 1.5 hours on all of them, set the time limit to 30 minutes per device. This way they have a bit of variety too!) Issue: Why I do keep receiving notifications pop-ups from, as an example easyspeedtest.com on my Windows 10 computer? Is my computer infected? I have already run a full computer scan but no harmful items were found. Resolution: These notifications are not infections or viruses on your computer, thus F-secure will not detect or delete them.  Usually when you get these notification pop-ups, you've visited a website that asks you to either allow or block its notifications, and you've selected allow. After this the site will keep sending you notifications.  You can disable this from your browser.  On your computer, open Chrome At the top right, click More  Choose Settings At the bottom, click Advanced Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings Click Notifications Choose to block specific or all notifications: Block all: Turn off Ask before sending. Block a site: Next to "Block," click Add > Enter the site and click Add You may also try the steps below to remove Chrome ads notification as Windows 10 comes with the function to show ads. Search for Settings in Windows Click on System Click on Notifications & actions Under "Get notifications from these senders", if you can see Chrome > Turn it Off Article no: 000008090

Issue: When adding the code for F-Secure Internet Security renewal, I am getting a "Check that you entered the subscription key correctly" error message. Resolution: This error usually points to misspelling of the subscription key. Please try again by copying the code from the purchase confirmation email, and pasting it to the field. Also verify that your code is a F-Secure Internet Security code, which consists of five groups of 4-characters (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). To activate F-Secure Internet Security code: Open F-Secure Internet Security program (can be found as an icon on your desktop) Click Renew or Already have a new subscription code? in the upper part of the program interface Insert the license code, and click Continue   Make sure that the license you purchased is not for F-Secure Anti-Virus. The code looks the same (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX), but won't work with the Internet Security program, since it uses its own installer. You can find all installation files for our consumer products from our downloads page. Please note, that if the code is a F-Secure SAFE or F-Secure TOTAL code, which consists four 5-letter groups (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX), you can't enter it to a F-Secure Internet Security program.
