Question I started the application, but the application registration fails with a message telling “e-mail already in use”. What should I do? Answer The F-Secure campaign allows a user to create only one account per user. The account is tied with an e-mail address. The same e-mail address cannot be used twice as it is used as username during the login phase. In F-Secure SAFE, you may purchase additional licenses and manage existing licenses for multiple devices. https://mysafe.f-secure.com/login is the portal for license management. Question I did not get the new, longer service period because I accidentally clicked "No" on the “You have received a new subscription key. Activate using the new key?” dialog. What can I do? Answer Don't worry. Just log in to the SAFE portal (http://www.f-secure.com/safe) and click Install to activate the key. Alternatively, you can enter the new key in the F-Secure SAFE application. Open the F-Secure SAFE application and go to More > Subscription. Question I registered with F-Secure SAFE but the application on my device shows different expiration date. What should I do? Answer The F-Secure SAFE application gets the new extended service period as part of the registration process. If you did not click Finish or the process was interrupted somehow, the new service period might not have been updated. Question I started the application, but I did not finish the registration. I would still like to get the full free service period. Can I register somehow later again? Answer Yes. Open the F-Secure SAFE application and go tothe Subscription view which has options to Buy or Enter a new key. By clicking Buy, the registration page will open again. Question I forgot my security code and I cannot change settings or uninstall the application. What should I do? Answer The F-Secure SAFE application supports the forgot password logic. If you have defined an e-mail address in the Parental Control or Anti-Theft settings, you can use the “I have forgotten my security code” functionality.   To reset the security code:   In the dialog requesting the security code, tap the I have forgotten my security code link. The Security Code reset window opens. Tap OK. An e-mail is sent to your defined e-mail address. Open the e-mail and to reset the security code, follow the instructions given. Set a new security code through the Anti-Theft settings and store it carefully. Use, for example the F-Secure Key application to keep your passwords safe. Question I started the application, but the registration fails with a “not supported country” error. What should I do? Answer The F-Secure campaign is targeted to the Nordic countries and therefore registration from other countries is not allowed. You may register as an F-Secure SAFE user directly through http://www.f-secure.com/safe. Question I started the application, but the application gets stuck trying to connect to network “wait indicator” just keeps on rolling. What should I do? Answer The F-Secure SAFE client application needs to activate F-Secure’s service and download the latest database. Depending on the network speed, this may take from a few seconds to tens of seconds. If waiting does not seem to resolve the issue, start the application again. Try another network (3G, 4G, WiFi etc.). Question I found the application in uPick, but for some reason it does not install? Answer Installation regardless of the channel may be interrupted for various reasons. Make sure the application is not partially installed. Remove a partially installed application through the device’s own settings. Try download and installation through some other network (3G, 4G, WiFi etc.). Question Why can’t I find the F-Secure SAFE application in uPick? Answer The F-Secure SAFE application is promoted through uPick. The actual application installer is in the Samsung Apps store, and uPick links to the Samsung Apps store. The store shows the application only for supported devices or operating system versions. F-Secure will add support for the as-yet unsupported devices or operating system versions as soon as possible.
