f-secure crashes mostly with xml files

From 09-28-2012 00:04:08 to 09-28-2013 12:34:07 to I have 48 entries im the win event log reporting a f-secure crash mostly with a XML file.

A chkdsk an all volumes and sfc /scannow did not find any errors. Also several restarts did not fix that problem.

Becuase I does not happen anymore and I did not install new software or other changes on my system I assume there was a problem with the signature files. Do you have seen similiar problems or any advice what else I could do to find the reason for this problem?

My system: Win8 Pro with F-Secure Internet Security 2014.

Hi emwe,

Please make sure there is no other anti-virus program installed at the same time in your computer.

Also I wonder is there any visible effect on your computer when the XML files crashed?

Hello,

F-Secure is the only one active Ani-Virus Solution (You know Defender comes with Win8 but it is deactivated).

I had a visible effect when this error occured - the windows maintenance center popped up a warning that there no Antivirus Solution is active. This brought that problem to my attention. Also the computer performance was dramatically decreased.

However as I mentioned in my first posting the failure occured only from 09-28-2012 00:04:08 to 09-28-2013 12:34:07. Since then I haven't seen it again. It belongs probably to a failed hydra update.

As you can see this happened shortly before the error occured first.

Nobody helped me with this issue, it came frome alone and it was going without any intervention from me. As it occure not any longer I see the issue as solved.
