Update on windows 10 preview version 10130 blue screens with f-secure as cause supplied by talktalk

As soon as 10130 starts up blue screen critical process died

 

the f-secure is supplied by talktalk

as soon as install is about to complete Blue Screen critical-process-died

 

But as windows 10 no longer has F8 to enter safe mode and unable to do msconfig either it would leave a novice user with useless Computer.

 

PS i had re-enabled F8 option so was able to do restore back having taken a checkpoint before adding the anti-virus also it left the pc in a mess and i had to do a chkdsk /F to recover the pc correctly as windows 10 was just like safe mode with no apps apart fromt event viewer and Run so able to do CMD.EXE and recover the situation

 

i even re-installed the latest 10130 iso to guarantee a clean situation and again as soon as f-secure is installed it blue screens and can not be uninstalled as instalaion shows installed but as had nor completed will only remove icon 

 

all previous releases worked as i was testing office 2003, photoshop etc as wanted to ensure migration from windows 7 to 10 would be uneventfull running in dual boot mode

 maybe the version supplied to talktalk has a flaw which you have fixed and talktalk need a new version

    Same issue here with F-Secure SAFE.

    Luckily, I'm able to boot back into windows, which shows me that the installation of the antivirus succeeded, while the installation of the internet stuff failed.

    Then I'm asked to activate safe search.

     

    Still I'm not able to check the antivirus module as it isn't installed.

    After that I'm able to uninstall it via the uninstall entry.

     

    Hope the installer will be fixed latest for the final version of Windows 10.

    Currently all versions of F-Secure Internet Security / SAFE will bluescreen with Windows 10 starting from Windows 10 build 10130. Only the beta version of F-Secure SAFE ("fs protection") is compatible.

     

    We know what is causing the problem and are working on maintenance releases. The products will be updated before Windows 10 launches.

    How to get access to the beta?

    I've seen there's a possibility to apply for beta access with some 6 months free subscription.

    As I'm a subscribed customer, I don't need the extra subscription.

    You can apply for the beta at https://www.f-secure.com/en/web/labs_global/beta-programs.

     

    The paid subscription does not work for the beta client, so you will need the 6 months for it, as they have different licensing servers.

    I tried to install fron talktalk three times and each time I got severe problems and it didn't install.

    I am a long time user of f-secure
