To what phonenumber do I send the words "lock" "wipe" and so on. Does it work if the thief has removed the sim-card already?

As mentioned "Send the following SMS message to your device". Sim-card and phone number are linked therefore the sim-card needs to be in the phone.

Thanks for the answer. Then I have to be quick to send before the thief removes the sim-card. It's a little bit false security... It all depends how fast I can get hold of an other device to send the word.
