Spotnet doesn't function after installing Internet Security 2016

I installed Inernet Security 2016 (replacing AVG free), given to me by my internet-provider.
Unfortunately Spotnet doesn't function anymore.
I found references to this problem dating back to 2012 (connceted to Spotnet and IS 2013), and I cannot believe this could be the same issue after 4 years.
I did try some of the options suggested there though (batch-file trick), but without success.
Running a W10 machine btw.
Ideas ?
