XP support for F-Secure SAFE and F-Secure Internet Security came to an end
in June 2016, after
providing an extended period of support for the operating system. Microsoft
announced the end of Windows XP support in April 2014.
What does end of
End of support means that if
our home security product is installed on a Windows XP operating system, we
cannot guarantee the protection on that computer. As Windows XP support for
F-Secure SAFE and Internet Security has ended, this means that -- if the
operating system on your computer is Windows XP -- your computer no longer
receives the necessary security updates and may be more open to security
vulnerabilities as a result.
What should I
To stay safe, we highly
recommend that you upgrade your computer operating system to Windows versions
that receive security updates from Microsoft. The most recent operating system
version always provides the best protection technologies and is fully
maintained by the vendor, receiving timely security updates and improvements.
What happens to my
software after end of support?
If you have a valid license
for our product and you upgrade your computer operating system, your existing
license will still be valid for the supported platforms.

The home security product
on your Windows XP computer no longer receives important security updates, and
your computer may be vulnerable to harmful viruses and other malware.
If you currently have our
home security product installed on your Windows XP computer and your license
expires, you will no longer be able to renew that license on your Windows XP
If you reinstall our home
security product on a Windows XP operating system, our product will discontinue
to work, as the latest versions of our home security products are no longer
compatible with Windows XP.
