Our Windows XP support for F-Secure SAFE and F-Secure Internet Security came to an end in June 2016, after providing an extended period of support for the operating system. Microsoft announced the end of Windows XP support in April 2014.
End of support means that if our home security product is installed on a Windows XP operating system, we cannot guarantee the protection on that computer. As Windows XP support for F-Secure SAFE and Internet Security has ended, this means that -- if the operating system on your computer is Windows XP -- your computer no longer receives the necessary security updates and may be more open to security vulnerabilities as a result.
To stay safe, we highly recommend that you upgrade your computer operating system to Windows versions that receive security updates from Microsoft. The most recent operating system version always provides the best protection technologies and is fully maintained by the vendor, receiving timely security updates and improvements.
If you have a valid license for our product and you upgrade your computer operating system, your existing license will still be valid for the supported platforms.
