750856 detections removed? (Aquarius)

According to the Latest Database Updates , the first Aquarius update of today removed an unusual large amount of detections. It's so large that my browser hangs when trying to view it. But by downloading it I was able to see a mix of Adware, Application, Backdoor, Dialer, Rootkit, Spyware, Trojan and Worms. Is this correct?
Usually the number of removed detections are 0 or only a few, so this update really sticks out, hence my question.

Hi NikK,
I checked with the labs about this detection removal and found that the detections now are based on generic detections and the removed detections are file based detections. Thats the reason those were removed since we have generic detections for it.Let us know if you have any further questions.
