Force all traffic through web proxy

I have a client who requires all internet traffic to go through their web proxy when vpn'd in.

The issue they have currently is when users are working from home, they are able to use their internet connection and access sites which are not filtered through the company web proxy.

Can someone advise the best way of adding a firewall rule to force all web traffic through the web proxy. If you can include the settings required.

Ideally, any web traffic should be dropped if not vpn'd in.

Re: Force all traffic through web proxy

Hi Hamsalad,

in this case this looks like it needs to be done via GPO and force the browser to use a http proxy server. A client firewall pretty much only allows or denies traffic, it doesn't route it.

This is a useful link to a Microsoft article on how to force the proxy settings on clients via GPO.
