Client Security 9.20 Beta is available

Dear all,

I am glad to announce that we have just released Client Security 9.20 Beta and it is available for your review.

What's new in this Beta release:

  • Support for Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) – Microsoft NAP plug-in included to the product enables control over network access based on F-Secure health policies.
  • Support for Microsoft DirectAccess – the product is compatible with Microsoft DirectAccess technology and can receive policies, software and database updates via DirectAccess tunnels.
  • Rebootless installation on Windows Vista/7 platforms – a system reboot is not anymore required when installing the product on Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers.
  • Configurable host identity – when deploying the product with F-Secure Policy Manager, it is now possible to specify whether the managed host will be identified using SMBIOS UID or randomly generated GUID.
  • Database update check randomization – to mitigate the so-called “AV storm” effect on virtual environments, it is now possible to configure the product to check database updates with a random interval at the system startup.
  • New languages – the following new languages have been added in this release: Chinese (P.R.C, Taiwan, Hong Kong), Estonian, Canadian French, Latin American Spanish, Romanian, Russian.
  • Bug fixes

The installation packages and release notes are available on F-Secure Beta community site. You are all welcome to sign up to the Beta program at this address: http://www.f-secure.com/en_EMEA-Labs/beta-programs/business-users-beta/client-security/index.html.
