Changing the update source for F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper for Linux

This article describes how you can change the settings to use a Policy Manager Server (PMS) as the source for database updates.

As of version 3.0, F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper for Linux uses Automatic Update Agent (AUA) for downloading updates. By default, AUA downloads database updates from the F-Secure root server or from fsbwserver.f-secure.com.

To change the update source to the PMS server:

  1. Edit the following files:
    • /opt/f-secure/fsigk/fsaua/etc/fsaua_config
    • /opt/f-secure/fsigk/fsaua/etc/fsaua_config-template
  2. In both files, change the update_servers entry so that it points to Policy Manager Update Server. Example:
    update_servers=http://policy-manager-update-server.com
