Improved F-Secure SAFE app coming soon
We have improved the look and feel of our F-Secure SAFE apps. The change will start with the SAFE mobile apps (Android and iOS). The new Windows version of the SAFE app will follow a bit later.
What's new in the mobile apps
- A totally new design, giving you a clearer view of the overall protection status.
- A new People & Devices view, giving you an easy way to manage your protected devices. From now on, you don't need to go to My F-Secure to send invitations to other family members and friends if you want to share your licenses with them.
- We have made it easier for you to protect your children's internet use. You can now manage Family Rules flexibly through your own app, letting you set healthy boundaries for your children's device and internet use.
- On the Subscription view, you can see how many licenses you have left on your subscription and the expiration date of the subscription.
Changes in the existing features
We have also made some changes to the existing features in the SAFE mobile apps.
We have optimized the Family Rules feature for children, giving them a more visual and clear view to the protection status, as well as to the view where, together with a parent, setting boundaries for device and internet usage can be done. As the feature is designed for children, it is no longer available for adult user profiles. If you have existing Family Rules settings for adult user profiles, they will be turned off and removed upon upgrade.
We have removed Ad blocker from SAFE for iOS as the feature was not widely used in its current form. The feature may be reintroduced in the future in a different form.
We have removed the support for Finder on SAFE for iOS. All iPhone and iPad users already have the built-in Find my iPhone or Find my iPad feature on their devices attached to the Apple ID.
We have removed the support for Finder on SAFE for Android as you have the possibility to use Google Find My Device with similar functionality.
We have removed the Application privacy feature from Android as there is no longer a need to have a separate feature to view and edit application permissions on Android devices.
