After deploying F-Secure FREEDOME for Business with external MDM to an Apple iOS device using Airwatch or Miradore Online, the product is installed successfully but when opening the app a "The subscription has expired" notification appears. Why is the license activation failing on only specific Apple iOS devices?
If this issue happens only on specific Apple iOS devices, it could be that there is a previous FREEDOME license on the device causing an issue with the license activation. To fix this issue, follow these steps:
- Open one of the following deactivation links on the iOS device which is having license activation issues (link can be provided by email):
- In the Freedome app, click OK on alert that appeared after clicking the link. (App will be restored to Freedome consumer)
- Uninstall the Freedome for Business app from the Apple iOS device
- Reinstall Freedome for Business using Airwatch or Miradore Online
