The current uninstall tool has the option to select the items Next will open a list of the FS items that can be selected for uninstall and with some also status "Found" When FS Protection was removed you do not have the icon in systray See…

@Urmas I try not to use edge ever so I do not know why it tries to pop up every now and then, but I can live with it. Thanks for the other post about FS ID Guardian. I just noticed that on the PC's where I have it installed.

Certainly took me by surprise. Defender was giving me alerts Clicking the Open fs protection gives That is as far as it goes. If I look at the installed progs It is not there any more. (but the fs ID beta 14 sure is) When I tried reinstall before r…

The new interface is different - interesting. Wait and see how it feels. The update was smooth as always. Just wondering again... Does the software automatically detect which browsers are installed and suggest the browsing protection extension to be…

Thanks Ukko

Thanks Ukko. I think displaying adds somewhere other than in the app that wants to display them without telling the user or notifying is misbehaving. I could not find a place where to stop showing adds on the lock screen. I think there should be or…

Figured it out. Tried a couple of add blockers. No help either. They did not identify the culprit. Even though the device was locked it allowed to display recent apps. When there was none launched by me the problem was displayed. It was the QR read…

Thanks. So it is version 5.0 beta 8 - right?

Luckily the device names are indexed if you install on the same type of device. You just have to keep a record which is which. Curious about the install path. In the GA product FS ID Protection the install path can be changed.

Thank you Ukko for your input. Whether or not the extension works with Brave is not an issue for me. Firstly I only use Brave in a limited amount. Sencondly I have it set to start where I left, so I do not have to login.
-
Thanks Ukko Out of the box Brave starts is normal mode. You have to launch private mode separately or maybe you can set up Brave to start in private mode - I have not studied or tried. So with normal mode it works with FS ID Guardian even though Bra…

Thank you https://community.f-secure.com/en/profile/Cale I do have sync in F-Secure IDP as well, but I take it is sync is between IDP devices only and likewise IDG devices only There is exposrt and import of passwords. That should do the same.
-
Thank you https://community.f-secure.com/en/profile/Cale Simple is good to some extend, but it is also good to keep OS, progs, temp files and data on separate partitions or rives for easier mainenance and less need for defragmentation
-
Thanks https://community.f-secure.com/en/profile/Cale It works with with Brave. Unfortunately the extensions are not used in the private mode of Brave. (In Firefox they are) So it is for browsers only and not eg email clients like Thunderbird.

Thank you for your reply https://community.f-secure.com/en/profile/Ukko I'd rather expect to see the list of supported browsers somewhere on the product pages and not in a discussion thread in the community. For IS Tp there is usually a list of new…

Thank you for your reply https://community.f-secure.com/en/profile/Ukko The reason why I did not create a report/ticket was that it works and I wanted to know. It may be different from the GA product and user expectations as it is beta. I did not…

Thanks That was the answer I was after.

Thank you for response. That clears how it works while the TOTAL subscription is active. I am still wondering what works when the Totals subscription for one reason or another is no longer active. Does it function as a router, can it be associated w…

Thank you for your response. The behaviour seems to be not regular with the portable browser, but I can live with it without problems.

Mine updated without me even noticing it. New feature is that with Firefox portable the Banking protection pop up stays open when you go to the Nordea site. In beta 5 it closed automatically after a short time. It stays open when you log out or if y…
-
Well that was not the end of it. Come 17.9 beta 6 and the pop up informing that Banking protection is active does not close any more when entering Nordea. I stays open and stayed open when I closed the Nordea site. Luckily there is the hide button.

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking of this: Special offer: SENSE security router The email says Order the SENSE router in My F‑Secure to get your discount. After the purchase, this home protection continues to be part of your TOTAL subscripti…

Thank you for your responses. I do not have Reinstall Extensions in Settings of TP 17.9 beta 5 just Install Firefox extension. As I am using portable Firefox and have not had regular Firefox installed the Firefox extension does not install. Just w…

Thanks Ukko I think it could something corrupted. I have already removed that device from my account before trying to uninstall. There are other uninstallers for Android like Revo. At the end of the day I could try those. Restoring factory defaults…

Thanks Ukko. No luck. No kid profiles on the device. The behaviour in the Device Administrators is that F-Secure is always checked. When I click it open the options are every second time Cancel - Ativate and every second time Cancel - Decativate No…

Thanks Ukko. I do not use the device so I have just let it be like it is. This is what I got after installing another malware product. ClickRemove Then get this Click Manage device administrators Uncheck FS Protection Go to App properties Force …

Did a new clean install. About the smoothest and fastest I've seen for a while.
