Scan your computer from time to time both in normal and safe mode just to be sure that you finally get rid of the virus.

Maybe it depends on your system specs. Since you have 1TB to scan, it might take a while and sometimes scanning stopped in the middle. I haven't encountered this problem more than once though.

Try to wait for a month or two for Windows 8 to be supported fully.

Does the security settings depend on what type of phone you are using? I have tried F-Secure on most of the devices I use and get the same settings available.

The F-Secure team should fix it on their system as you really can't do anything about it. I encountered it once and I simply contact them regarding it.

I think MSE have the same installation process where you need to be connected online before it can be completed. A bit annoying, but you still have to abide if you want to use it.

Once you have downloaded a file completely, you can have it scaned by your AV. You won't be getting any virus yet unless you open the file itself.
