Bit the bullet and bought new Windows 8.1 laptop and have successfully installed F-Secure via Virgin Media portal and it works fine.
-
Virgin Media tell me to install Norton or Trend Micro but email I have recieved from F-Secure says "F-Secure SAFE Internet Security as provided for Virgin Media customers does suport Windows 8.1".
-
Hi Trude2000, Have you tried installing f-secure via Virgin Media link and if so what happens.
-
Thanks for the explanation Jayson. Does seem a bit like overkill though to automatically scan onevery reboot.
-
According to F-Secure website if you have purchased/obtained F-Secure via an ISP portal then you can only upgrade via this portal.

It's on a reboot. So what is purpose of the settings option within virus scan. I'm getting somewhat disillusioned with F-Secure via Virgin Media portal.

It may be compatible but apparently is not available via Virgin Media. Reply I got from Virgin Media says I should look at buying Norton or Trend Micro. I'm getting a bit fed up with Virgin Media, why did they move away from Trend Micro to softwar…

Problem still persists with scan runni g daily even though frequency set to weekly.

Changed scheduled scan settings from default of weekly/friday/12.00 and this appears to have resolved the issue. However still get random scan of memory card ie runs when I turn on Tablet but not every time.

Tried re-installing via Virgin Media link but this still does not work (previously reported) stil get message 'Unfortunately F-Secure mobile security has stopped'. Installed F-Secure security for mobile/tablet from Play-Store but still get the scan…

Yes scan starts immediately and I see message 'Scheduled scan started'. Turned scheduled scan off in settings and restarted tablet but get exactly the same result.

Trying to re-install F-Secure mobile security via Virgin Media link still does not work. But version from Play Store does apear to work. As I am a Virgin Media customer please can this be resolved.

Got email today asking me to install F-Secure Mobile Security from the Play Store. Note not Tablet Security. I have done this and it has activated (some options not enabled) and early indications are good.
-
I've not heard anything about tab2 not supporting F-Secure. Tried latest version from Play Store but still get same problem. Not impressed with product or support.
-
Received email from f-secure support saying they have received other reports of problems when on Android version 4.2.2 and they are escalating this to the team responsible for f-secure tablet security.
-
Tried installing from mobile.f-secure.com as asked by f-secure techy but get exactly same problem Also get same problem when I try installing on my wifes Samsung Galaxy tab2 10 Both our tablets are on Android version 4.2.2
