  • Hello Jaims, Well, I looked into this farther in technical ways, and then with the bank, after what appeared there. - what was going on with the ally.com site wasn't a simple block -- it was a deliberate, silent delay, and then a dropped connection, consistently. - the IP address matched ally.com - no Mullvad etc. was…
  • Jaims, * the block occurs from initial attempt to open https://www.ally.com * there is no login or other activity present, because the site never opens. * It times out, and afterwards each time the browser silently retries * If I turn off the latest Freedome, the site works immediately and extremely well * I think this is…
  • I see that the Firefox/Mozilla VPN is actually Mullvad, your apparently excellent Swedish competitor. Again with real technical advantage. Maybe knowing this will wake you up?
  • I received a note from F-Secure outside this forum today, and tested their results. Wells Fargo Bank is now working again, with Freedome enabled, on both the browser web access and the Android app. Looks like they fixed this not-so-easily-reckoned problem.
  • Thanks, Jaims -- I am in contact with them now. Diagnostics are sent, and I'm hoping to hear soon on how _also_ to recover access on my cellphone bank app, as even a deinstall-reinstall-update-reauthenticate procedure didn't fix the problem there. Best, Clive
  • Hello Jaims, - Well, oam.wellsfargo.com was indeed still hard-blocked by Freedome - the instructions you referenced do not apply to Freedome = Freedome is in C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\Freedome\Freedome\1, a strange location in several senses, but anyway, none of the paths in those instructions, which are for other…
  • Appreciated, Jaims, and surely this will help others... Clive
  • Jaims, I'm sorry, this is still not working at all. - I completely removed Freedome from the laptop - I rebooted the laptop - I downloaded a fresh installer, and installed - I attempted the bank website login - it failed as before, DNS not finding the back-end site after submitting the login - I turned off Freedom, and…
  • Further on this, I note that I seemed (!!) to actually suggest a solution above. However, that may just be a confusion, as it's inconvenient and unfindable for anyone, and especially, there's not a way to do what I suggested on a cellphone app. I've rebooted for other reasons the phone, stopped and restarted Freedome to…
  • Hello -- @Jaims ?? This issue is kind of important, but I'm not hearing anything from your end. Today I experienced what very much appears the same problem while trying to use the same Wells Fargo bank, this time on my phone's app for them. I got through the initial sign-on, but then the phone app couldn't reach its…
  • Well, and. Before you wake up over there, not Helsinki proper I think, but Espoo, is it not? I may have discovered how to repair this problem. - I was working with a server of my own, and added a subdomain, hooking it up via instant DNS. - Freedome no-DNS-blocked me from that also, though other subdomains previously on the…
  • A little more information, after looking at other advice here: - turning off Tracker Protection doesn't help this - turning off Browser Protection doesn't change the situation either. So I think the problem is as it seems: that your DNS isn't configured so it knows about this oam.wellsfargo.com subdomain. Should be an easy…
  • Tapio-team, thanks for your hard work -- we don't know how much we depend on Freedome until we don't have it. A sure-fix will be very good, of course. But there's something else I feel strongly that you should look into. The problem is that we out in the world were blind. As far as I could find, there's no 'System Status'…
  • Yes, Freedome is completely gone for several hours. Windows and Android, no difference. Not a good thing. I hope sisu can help.
  • Really, F-Secure, you need to FIX the instructions that come with renewal. Not to mention the loose and not confidence-inspiring renewal process. You are Finnish, I know Finland, and I expect this from you. Others will also. And, you are F-Secure. Even more expectation. Here's the scene you create: - email comes, early,…
  • Wishing you good fortune on the fix. I have another issue in for analysis. but this has to do only with DNS, on certain Chinese sites which should be open. On your problem, I haven't seen wifi dropouts since de-upgrading the Windows wifi driver -- looks very good. Prior to this, some of the online 'fixes' helped a bit, but…
  • All right, and that's been a lot of fun, Laksh. I don't know why this feeder chain at F-Secure's support partners couldn't just say this up front... And the Chinese -- this one really is cutting off nose despite the face. South China Morning Post is a wonderful paper, in many regards. Cheers, Clive
  • Yes, I tried the suggestions in the page you referenced. Neither helped or had any effect on this fault. I've given a sample url to the page for that, with a detailed description. Thiss problem is not resolved. It began happening a month or so ago. Before that there was no problem like this with Freedome.
  • replying to both: - your plan sounds good to try the long time w/o Freedom - that the desktop on LAN has same problem may well mitigate against the forced-replace driver procedure - also, as noted, I have some unanswered concern whether/how a machine with only the single connection you'd disturb would recover itself. It…
  • Greetings -- This may or not have to do with another problem that recent Windows 10 releases are known to have. I've seen no trouble with dropouts on Freedome, but it will appear to have dropped out without saying it's lost its connection if the Win10 operating system drops out, at least in a particular way: Before…
