  • Hi, I undestood you have alerts about missing Software Updater databases,is correct? If is this case, your FSAUA can be missing software update signatures (FSAUA will download all type of signature, including Software Update, even you dont have the Software Update module). My suggest is use FSAUA reset and test over PMS,…
  • Hi, Sorry about the wrong answer, I undertood you want push install. To verify your distribute policy issue, my suggestion is: 1. Check if your Policy Manager is configured to disable Windows firewall 2. Verify in the machines if they can communicate with Policy Manager without any problem (just go to the machine and open…

  • Good afternoon! Cysec, I suggest some steps to check: 1. Check if the services is up and work fine. Use Status Monitor to do this, also you can use services.msc to check F-Secure services. 2. Verify Windows Firewall. If you installed in Windows Server 2008 and above, DONT disable the firewall service. You can disable the…
  • This issue can be caused by almost anything. My sugests: 1. Verify the F-Secure Services (check if they are up, watch if F-Secure Policy Manager Service is in execution); 2. Verify if you dont have any other services using the ports 90, 9090, 9091; 3. Check the database (use the database recovery tool);
  • You can use Windows or Linux, who will provide the security is the border firewall (UTM or real firewall), just remember: The Policy Manager Sever just open 3 ports and lock all the other ports. So into your border firewall you will open or close this ports pointing to Policy Manager Server: 1. Host to Policy Manager Port…
  • Also you can put your Policy Manager in a DMZ and configure your firewall to allow access into Port 80, so when your Notebook away from your office, they still reach to your Policy Manager Server. Dont forget put your internal and external DNS pointing to your Policy Manager Server. i.e: IP of Policy Manager Server is…

  • Hi, as you found a old backup, I recommend you try to extract the keys from this backup. To perform this action, you can use recovery database tool. ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/support/tools/pm/recovery-tool/ When you recover the database the first object recovered is the both keys, admin.pub and admin.prv. With a few of luck…
  • My suggestion is open a ticket to support. My concern is your database cant be recovered (as you said). Dont worth try update to Policy Manager 11.30, if you try to update, probably dont work the database conversion to 11.30 version.
  • Seems your Policy Manager aome way still using version 9 database. I remember in the "old" Policy Manager version have a application to convert database version 9 to 10. Try find this application (its inside old version of Policy Manager - I think Policy Manager 10.x) and use over you OLD database (the version 9). This…
  • In this case, as you said you just updated your F-Secure, I suggest you made a backup of database and after this, use database recovery tool. Its seems database corrupt. ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/support/tools/pm/recovery-tool/fspm-db-recovery-tool.11.30.61100.zip Att, Roberto Chu

  • A large number of firewall alerts (of intrusion), indicates you have machines without antivirus or infected machines. In a few cases, also can be an applicatin where use instrusion code. The best to do in this case, it is atualize the F-Secure antivirus in the last version (Client Security 11.60 - where use the last…
  • You can choose if the software updater will restart automaticaly or ask to user to restart. Oprtion 1: User decision. Option 2: Force restart Verify in your Policy Manager if not configured to force restart after update.

  • I dont think this is the issue, but the Windows 2008 R2 already have all update and service packs applied?

  • So this feature is avaible in the last update. The last time I try use the schedule, for me this feature just show in the complete mode, not avaible in the simple view.
  • Scheduled Scanning in PSB profile only is avaible in complete mode (not avaible in simple mode). In the complete mode you can schedule the scan. If you cant access the complete mode, you need ask to your reseller (or open a support ticket) to avaible this mode to you.
