PSB Computer Protection Premium - Dataguard blocking msiexec

I have a user trying to install an application that dataguard is blocking.  This application launches msiexec.exe which in turns try to access a location %userprofile%\Documents\(Extracted folder from download)... as this is where the installation package was downloaded to.  I have tried to add this location as excluded and as trusted on the ACLs on dataguard, however the problem still re-occurs.

For obvious reasons I do not want to set msiexec as trusted, what is another way that I can work around this to get the application installed?

Dataguard internally does not have exclusions and only has one set of folders - folders to protect. Because of that, "exclusion list" is only applied to monitored folders and removes folders from there. You cannot have %documents% as a protected folder and then remove %documents%\subfolder from it.

Because of this limitation, if you want to protect entire %documents%, you cannot exclude from protection anything under this folder.

Kiitos, it makes sense, will amend the directory where the file is installed from.
