Windows Firewall

I noticed the Windows Firewall integration with v14 Client Security.  We have firewall disabled in GPO.  Should it be enabled in GPO now?  Also, do policies override GPO firewall settings or can we set policies in GPO and/or Client Security?

    Hello @farmersLSD

Yes, F-Secure firewall is replaced with the Windows firewall engine. It is automatically turned on after installing Client Security 14.00, unless explicitly disabled in the policies.

Firewall profiles are only managed centrally and cannot be modified locally. If allowed, local users can configure the firewall using the Windows Firewall interface.

So you must have Windows Firewall turned on for your network via Group Policy Object (GPO) to manage the firewall settings through Policy Manager. If Windows Firewall is turned off via GPO, Policy Manager cannot override those settings and the firewall policies will not be applied.
