F-Secure Issue with Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7

Hi,

we have 150 Windows 7 Clients with F-Secure Client Security 12.31 and have some not reproducible issues with the Internet Explorer. The user opens the IE and the window close automaticly but the process of the IE still works. There is no Event in event log and after some restarts the IE Works. All my response to clean the cache etc don't work. The Clients have all diverent software only one Software that all Client have is the F-Secure.

Did Anyone have the same Problems? The Issues are beginnig from 2 Weeks ago.

Best regards,

Simon

    Hello,

Possibly related to the April 2017 Microsoft cumulative hotfix for IE browser damaging something belonging to F-Secure, e.g. the BHO?

    > The user opens the IE and the window close automaticly but the process of the IE still works.

Usually Microsoft recommends this at the first time:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/967896/internet-explorer-opens,-flashes,-and-then-closes-immediately-when-you-start-it

Run inetcpl.cpl, select the Advanced tab, choose to Reset Internet Explorer's Settings. When IE finishes select Close and it is recommended to reboot the PC.

    Hello,

currently i have a Computer who has this problem. I tried:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/967896/internet-explorer-opens,-flashes,-and-then-closes-immediately-when-you-start-it

    but it don't work.

For testing we uninstalled F-Secure and after the uninstall without restart the Computer the Internet Explorer works fine.

On  all Client's where the Issue is, the normal Explorer are also blocked with a Error Message but no message in the event log.

    Hello,

In this case, you or your local supporting partner really need to open a support ticket with F-Secure HQ. They will likely ask you to submit a result from the built-in "F-Secure Support Tool" diagnostic utility to start the investigation.
