Please restore the non-web local GUI of F-Secure Windows Server protection.

Dear F-Secure,

 

Please make available the traditonal executable file based local user interface of FSAV (E)SS 12 products. The web-browser based GUI is extremely cumbersome to use and frustrating enough with its constant login-in demands that people start to think about jumping ship.

I have just learned this info from F-Secure:

 

The advanced local GUI settings binary
"c:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\FSGUI\fsavaui.exe"
is available for use in FSAV (E)SS 12.1x, as well as in all previous versions.

It provides an alternative to the modern web-based user interface.

Just in case, let me mention that it is possible to change the timeout, or even disable (this is not recommended) automatic log off from WebUI in Settings > Administration > Web Console > Session section.

It is also notable that FSAV (E)SS 12.11 has recently received a small hotfix for the WebGUI and the IE browser:
