SOLVED: Blue Screen of Death after upgrading from Client Security 12.00 to version 12.10

Problem: User gets a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) after upgrading from Client Security 12.00 to version 12.10.
Visible Effects: The upgrade from Client Security 12.00 to version 12.10 causes the system to not startup properly. During startup, a BSOD takes place with the exception:
"BAD_POOL_CALLER (c2) The current thread is making a bad pool request. Typically this is at a bad IRQL level or double freeing the same allocation, etc..."
This issue only occurs when Check Point VPN is installed on the system. F-Secure has contacted Check Point and Check Point confirmed that this is a known issue in Check Point's vsdatant.sys driver. Additionally, F-Secure identified a problem with the Network Filter driver included with F-Secure Client Security.
Updates
29.11.2016: The upcoming Client Security 12.30 release bundles a new NIF-driver inside the installer and if you encounter the BSOD -issue during the upgrade of Client Security (to version 12.10/12.20), we recommend using the upcoming Client Security 12.30 package. Client Security 12.30 is currently expected to be released January 2017.
15.11.2016: The update containing the fix is now released to production and is available as 'F-Secure Network Interception Framework Update 2016-11-10_01'7 - 'nifbin'
1.11.2016: F-Secure has identified a problem with the Network Filter driver and currently has a fix available in ALPHA testing. The fix will be released later via our update channel to all users.
Solution: An updated F-Secure driver is now available in the update channel. This should allow clients to be installed without problems. If you continue having problems after the upgrade, please contact F-Secure customer support.
