MSG 7.5 how to free up disk space ?

Hi,

 

I was running a MSG 7.5 appliance since many months with a 75% disk usage. Since sunday morning, the use space turn 98%. Send and receive mails are very long and i don't know how to free up disk...

 

I have already modify the quarantine retention (from 14 to 8 days), i also modify the log retention to 8 days and reboot the appliance.

 

Nothing change, the quarantine usage is 995MB which is not very large.

I see that i could delete old PPS but i don't know how ?

You can find old System upgrades under System>Licenses and Upgrade>History at the bottom of the page. 

They can normally be safely removed.

The issue is over, it was a spam attack.

The attack stops and we get back the free space.

Dear Ben,

The MSG 7.5 itself is quite dated, over 1.5 years old. Is there a new edition in progress?

I must plan the migration but i'm a bit short of time 'till the end of year.

Hi,

 

The issue resolve itself.

We found a that we have a virus on a web server that use a postfix to send spam through our appliance.

So we stop it and we get back the free space.
