Firewall rules

Hello,

 

I have a customer that would like to configure the firewall of (CS12) to allow the mTorrent application to have internet access to all the ports and also act as a server (allow incomming connections).

 

I assumed that adding this application to the the Application control will solve the problem.

 

 

However it did not.

 

Then I have adviced the customer to set the mTorrent to use a specific port and then allow that port with firewall rules.

 

The same for UDP

 

Finaly we created the rule

 

 

This made the mTorrent to work however I assume that the application control should create rules based on appliactions and will need no extra firewall rule to allow the application function properly.

 

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello TheoPa,

 

You did everything correctly. Application control can allow or deny Internet access for a specific application, but only in scope of configured firewall rules.
