    Hi Marclan,

The admin.pub is on all managed hosts. So this file is easy to recover.

The admin.prv is on the computer which has the PM Console installed under <installationfolder>\administrator.

If the PMC was installed on the Server too, it should be easy to recover.

Could you please check whether you can recover the file or not?

If you can not recover the admin.prv, it is getting more tricky.

In this case please open a support ticket: http://www.f-secure.com/en/web/business_global/support/contact

Please also note that support for v8 Products (PM and Client Security / Anti-Virus for Workstations) will end on 15.10.2011. ( http://www.f-secure.com/en/web/business_global/support/supported-products )

    Please start upgrades in time.

    Best regards,

    Stephan

Hi Stephan , (i have tested to put it on f-secure\administrator on pmc console but i have lost admin.prv -> error message) do you think that if i give at f-secure the admin.pub you can create a good admin.prv ?? I have too tested modify policy.bpf but a control hash is realized with admin.pub and strategie is not put on pc (only change a letter on policy create message error). Thank.

    Hi marclan,

you can not modify policies and sign them with the public key. This will always be rejected.

Also you can not create the private key from the public key.

Unsigned modifications to the policy file will be rejected.

Please open a support ticket, we will be able to help.

    Best regards,

    Stephan

    Hi marclan,

we will not edit your policy.

However we will be able to help you to be able to manage your clients again.

Then you can add the exclusion yourself through the PM Console.

    Best regards,

    Stephan
