Internet connection bandwidth question

Dear all

 

I know that it is not directly related to F-secure messaging security gateway appliance, but I would appreciate your feedback experience on this.

 

What Internet connection bandwidth should be adequate for an fsmsg filtering traffic for around 400 mailboxes?

    Hi Costas,

     

    This should not be measured according mailboxes. More likely should be check how many mails are going through filter, but i don't know exact answer for you right now. I can check this and come back to you as soon as possible.

    Hello Costas,

     

    So P350 device can handle more than 60k mails in one hour, so basically MSG can handle as much mails your mail server is able to deliver etc. At this point we should think more likely to measure our e-mail enviroment e.g what kind of a bandwidth our e-mail server requires.
