End-of-life for 8-series products

Hello,

 

We have still  few windows 2000 servers  installed with f-secure server 8. I want to know if after the end of life of the 8 version, the updates of the virus definitions will be still available?

here are the implication of the end of life of our 8 series products on the virus definitions update.

 

In the evening of 31.12.2011 the databases will be removed from F-Secure distribution channels. The detection levels will deteriorate quite quickly for new malware. Active window of a typical malware these days is less than a week. This means that in order to provide reactive protection already during the active period an antivirus engine needs to be updated at least daily. After 31.12.2011 hosts using 8-series product versions  are no longer protected even if the product keeps on running.
