Hi, we're thinking about migrating to a new server and to another version. Could someone share some information on how to do this?
I did this with older version.
I installed the new version of the PM on the new server with the key (admin.prv) of the older server. I reconfigure all (domain, policy, ...) but (its possible to do a backup/restore of the old configuration see admin guide).Reconfigure the policy manager server settings on the old server to point to the new. To do some test, create a domain policy (on the old server) where you set the new server as the centralized management (tab settings), distribute the policy and put some computers into it. After when thoses computers will connect to the old pm, the old pm will reconfigure those( with the new policy) to connect to the new one in the future.If it is ok, you will see those registered on the new one and you can set the policy to all the domain on the odl server. Also befor on the new one I set new rules to automatically import the host following the ad structure.
