F-Secure browing protection extension

At our company we have enabled the F-Secure browing protetion extension through GPO for Microsoft Edge chromium.

For most of the users the extension is silently installed. But some users receive a pop-up that the extension is installed and can choose between the options Enable extension or remove extension.

Can anyone help why the extension is not completely silent installed (or enabled) for some clients?

Hi,

I consulted with our product developer, and they believe this looks more like a bug in Edge.

Setting name says "Extensions to install silently" but Edge still asks user for confirmation.

Hi,

This is a standard popup from Microsoft Edge when the browser detects a new extension.

The message is in Dutch but hope this example helps. At most clients it is installed and enabled silently, but some clients are not silent enabled.
