"The was a problem opening KEY." After attempting to connect devices.

Got a new subscription to f-secure key.

Installed on Android - got v 4.9.6

Had some passwords on the android and some on the PC before sync.

Attempted to connect devices. Either it would tell me that the code was invalid or that the password was invalid even tho both devices had the same password.

Android app got stuck in a loop of continuosly requesting the password of the device to connect to.

After several restarts there was no change.

Following some other posts decided to turn off the VPN.

Android app now starts and after inputing the master password it crashes with "The was a problem opening KEY. Please restart your device"

Restarted the device several times, and cleared the cache for good measure. No change.

uhmm..

help?

    Hello,

There was a discussion with related output as "was a problem opening KEY":

At least for some users the reason was "Android System WebView" recent update (disable or undone update was a workaround).

In general, then it was with fix by F-Secure. Maybe you could try to reach out their official Support channel (as a boost up for situation):

Attempted to connect devices. Either it would tell me that the code was invalid or that the password was invalid even tho both devices had the same password.
Android app got stuck in a loop of continuosly requesting the password of the device to connect to

But since your original trouble was about another flow - then, maybe, your experience is about something special. Although, since it was possible to proceed with disabled VPN (maybe still something known).

    Thanks!
