Issues with fshoster32.exe processes in Citrix sessions

Products affected: Server Security 14.00 and 14.10
Problem & visible effects:

A number of issues has been noticed when F-Secure Server Security 14 is installed on a Citrix server:

  • When the user logs off the Citrix session, the F-Secure process fshoster32.exe remains running.
  • An F-Secure system tray icon becomes visible on the end-user's desktop.
  • Performance degradation due to many fshoster32.exe processes running.

Workaround: See the following knowledge base article for the system tray icon issue:

Fix: This issue will be fixed in the next release of Server Security.
