[SOLVED] Client Security might end up in broken state after upgrading to 14.01

Products affected: Client Security 14.01

 

Problem: Client Security might end up in a broken state after upgrading to 14.01.

Visible effects: Client Security is no longer found on the system once the upgrade is done. The F-Secure icon on the system tray and the services are no longer found.

Workaround: After the upgrade, if you can no longer find Client Security on the system, we recommend that you first run the UItool (https://download.sp.f-secure.com/uninstallationtool/FsUninstallationTool.exe) to clean up what was left from the upgrade failure, and then reinstall the product.

If you have not yet upgraded to Client Security 14.01 , we recommend that you download the latest installer from here: https://download.f-secure.com/corpro/cs/current/fscs-14.01.121-v2.jar
