Boot loop

Hi, I set up the Sense with wifi just to test and then did a soft reset to switch to cable.
With the cable connected I got an error during set-up stating that the Sense could not update because the internet connection (which is fine) was lost.
After this it seems to be stuck in a boot loop. Just two rows of ”8” then the squares and repeat.
I saw another user here had this problem but he ended up replacing the unit. I have tried hard resets (multiple) and that did not help.
Any (new) ideas on this? Or is it bricked?
