(still) setting up a new firewall profile. Everything is not working as expected. How can I read the packet log? When I open it in notepad++ it's mostly gibberish.
You can use built in the product viewer. Just select required log and press "Details" button on Logging tab in GUI. Alternatively, you can use Wireshark.

Also, found using alert log very useful with test rules.
