Computer Protection display the message to restart the computer after receiving a critical update - F-Secure Community
<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-version="4" data-article="000015619">Issue:</h3> <p>The PSB Computer Protection in my computer displays message "Restart required. F-Secure Computer Protection Premium received a critical update. To keep you up to date, restart your computer". The message remains despite me restarting the computer a few times.</p> <h3>Resolution:</h3> <p>You can proceed to follow the workaround below to fix this:<br></p><ol><li>Restart all the F-Secure Services listed in<b> </b>Services by launching <b>services.msc</b></li><li>If this does not help, delete the entire contents located in F-Secure update folder and files at <i>C:\ProgramData\F-Secure\GUTS2</i></li><li>Reboot the computer</li><li>Launch <b>Computer Protection</b> and check for update (<b>Tools > Check for updates</b>)</li><li>If this does not resolve the issue, proceed to reinstall <b>Computer Protection</b></li></ol> If the issue persists, proceed to report the issue by contacting <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.f-secure.com/en/web/business_global/support/support-request#productGroup=For%20Business">F-Secure Support</a>.
