Unable to add a sub-user to My F-Secure. Error message: "The person already belongs to another group

Issue:

Unable to add a sub-user to My F-Secure account. Error message: "The person already belongs to another group".

Resolution:

A user cannot be invited to your My F-secure account if their email is used for another My F-secure account. User account can only be a sub-user in one My F-Secure account at a time.

If that user has a separate My F-Secure account, please contact support and we can remove it if needed. 

If that email was used under another account as sub-user account,  the owner of the account can delete the account. They need to log in to the account and remove the user so that the account is freed up to be linked somewhere else.

Follow these steps to do this:

  1. Log in to My F-Secure
  2. On the My F-Secure page, click on a sub-user that you want to remove from your My F-Secure group. The sub-user is now selected and is in the center
  3. Click on the sub-user again to bring up a window with the sub-user's basic details
  4. Click the Remove from My F-Secure group link. The Remove from group window appears
  5. Click Remove
If the owner of the account is not available, the sub-user can leave the group themselves:
  1. Log in to My F-Secure
  2. Click on your profile
  3. Choose Settings
  4. Click Leave the group
