Ultralight Core update 2022-04-05_01 causes Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on Windows device - F-Secure Community
<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-version="10" data-article="000039202" data-id="issue">Issue:</h3> <p>Ultralight Core 2022-04-05_01 update causes Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) crash on Windows devices.</p> <h3 data-id="resolution">Resolution:</h3> <p>A newer Ultralight Core update, 2022-04-05_02 has been released to the channel, to avoid BSOD from happening <br></p><p>In case the device crashes with BSOD without the WithSecure product being able to download the latest Ultralight Core update, you need to do the following:</p> <ol><li>Boot into safe mode</li><li>Rename fsulgk.sys in the directory: <ul><li>Business Suites product: ...\F-Secure\<Client Security, Server Security>\Ultralight\ulcore\1649156793</li><li>Elements Endpoint Protection product: ...\F-Secure\PSB\Ultralight\ulcore\1649156793</li></ul></li><li>Reboot the device normally and let the product update the components. New driver will be registered and enabled by the update. </li></ol><p>Alternatively, removing the product in safe mode would help to avoid the BSOD. After reinstallation the device would no longer BSOD with the latest Ultralight Core 2022-04-05_02 update.</p> <p>Article no: 000039202</p> </article> </main>
