<main> <article class="userContent"> <p> </p> Restrictions with double-byte character use <h3>Symptoms</h3> <p>If double-byte characters are used in the server addresses, the communication with the server will not function properly. </p> <h3>Diagnosis</h3> <p>When defining a connection to a server, only DNS valid names can be used. If double-byte characters are used in the server addresses, the communication with the server will not function properly. </p> <p>Policy Manager cannot be installed in directories where the path contains double-byte characters. This includes national characters in non-iso-latin character schemes like the Japanese and Chinese versions of the supported platforms. </p> <h3>Solution</h3> <p>The default path should, however, be chosen whenever possible, and that will always succeed. </p> </article> </main>
