Every startup needs F-Secure to reinstall?

Hi

I have upgraded from Virgiin media to f-secure on my PC, running Windows XP, I needed to perform a factory re install, after that my F-secure was a changed programm.

Every startup/boot up, I have to accept and re-install f-secure, I'm not convinced I am protected.

Opinions?

Thanks Lowershum

It sounds like F-Secure isn't installed properly, and I'm guessing you probably don't have full protection.

I would recommend that you run the F-Secure Uninstallation Tool to fully remove F-Secure, then reboot.  Following that, run the Virgin Media Removal Tool, as even if you've uninstalled Virgin Media, it may not have been fully removed.  After a further reboot, follow the steps in this Sticky Topic to reinstall F-Secure, using the link via your Virgin Media portal.  You can ignore the parts about removing Virgin Media Security, as you will have already just done that.

Bear in mind, you will be unprotected during this process, so keep your online activities to a minimum until you have F-Secure up and running.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on.  :)
